Anjaan Movie Review

Film ‪#‎Anjaan‬ : The positives of this ‪#‎40crore‬ budget film casting ‪#‎Surya‬ are the most stylish & stunning visuals by cinematographer ‪#‎SantoshSivan‬ and Costume Design by ‪#‎DeepaliNoor‬. The story & screenplay of this 2h 50min movie is very much predictable where the scenes looks completely disconnected and so will test the patience of the audience. Comedy sequences and songs have not worked out big time also heroine is all glamour and glitz only. Director of this film ‪#‎Lingusamy‬ has targeted to present this just as a visual treat** and has not concentrated much on other departments.
**Recommended only for fearless(#Anjaan) Surya fans.

Film Jigarthanda Review

Film Jigarthanda : Director Karthik Subbaraj's second movie after the super hit pizza has already created expectations among the audience. Pizza's high point was the most unexpected twist in the climax which you can expect every now and then in his second film Jigarthanda. The story and screenplay is one of the craziest that you can ever imagine in Tamil cinema but the director manages to convincingly portrait it into an entertaining film.  The entire audience burst out laughing for some of the comedy dialogue timing & slapstick comedy attempted in this film which can be rated as the best in last few years. This move is a complete director's treat where the first half will be very refreshing and new while the second half may be slightly dragging yet the attempt is something phenomenal.  Watch it to be pleasantly surprised.

Rummy Movie Review

Film Rummy: This film has a big hype because of its Hero 'Vijay Sethupathi' who has given 4 consecutive hits in a row. Other than that Inigo is playing the lead role and Balakrishnan is the debut director working on the script. Let's see whether Vijay Sethupathi cracks this one as well.

The film starts in the year 1987 with Inigo's (Sakthi) intro as the hero which clearly shows that this is a period film and Vijay Sethupathi(Joseph) plays the friend of the Hero Sakthi. This will disappoint a lot of Vijay sethupathi's fans. All the characters in the movie get introduced, after which the usual love story between the hero (Inigo) and heroine Gayathri as (Meenakshi) starts. As usual Inigo's friends Suri and Vijay sethupathi help him in his romance show. Now the story becomes clearer when the villains get introduced as the honor killing group in the village, who dare to kill all the youngsters who attempts love with any girl in their village. Now our hero Vijay Sethupathi falls in love with Iyshwarya who plays the role of Sorna. Now both the heroines are in the same family group of honor killing guys which means both our heroes are under threat of getting killed by this group. Their end the first half.

The second half starts with some unexpected twists. But the suspense is not actually in the screenplay, but rather in the slow paced movement of the scenes which actually test the patience of the audience. One example will be the knocking of the door scenes which will be around ten different occasions in the film and the villains keep knocking the hero's house doors for no good reason. The most parts of the twist and turns in the second half and the climax are predictable, which is the big drawback of the film.

Music by Imaan as usual is good and worth mentioning are the two songs Koodamela Koodavechi and Oru Nodi and also the BGM and sound effects adds great value to the movie. Cinematographer Premkumar has done an immaculate job, Visuals are just a treat to watch in this movie. Art director Veeramani has to be mentioned for his good work in portraying the 1980's period. Director Balakrishnan has tried out with period film in his first attempt which needs some accolades, but the story and the plot of the movie is very old which is the big problem.

Review: Vijay Sethupathi is not the hero of the film Rummy, he just plays a supporting role as the hero's friend which is the first disappointment for the fans. This movie is a period film of the 1980's very similar to Subramaniapuram but the story and screenplay are not good enough to entertain the audience. The plots in the movie are predictable and many parts of the movie will test the audience's patience as it is a slow paced movie. It's a below average movie for Vijay Sethupathi's standards and ofcourse it should not be his mistake as he is just a supporting actor in the movie.

Inga Enna Solluthu Movie Review

Film Inga Enna Solluthu: VTV Ganesh wants to be a hero/story/screenplay writer and most importantly, if he can do this he also needs to be the producer of this movie 'Inga Enna Solluthu'. Audience are expected to watch this movie to be a comedy as the casting looks good on papers Santhanam, Meerajasmine, Pandiaraj and Simbu (guest appearance).

But just within 10 minutes the audience will understand that they have guessed it wrong and should soon run away from this theatre. Santhanam the top comedian of this time looks stupid, which makes things even worse. Director of this movie Vincent Selva who has worked with Actor Vijay in 2 films should not have chosen this movie to direct where the story and screenplay is so bad.

Simbu presence doesn't make any big difference. But the most pathetic part of the story is Meera Jasmine and the portrayal of her character makes it complete crap. K.S Ravi Kumar does a small role which will again bring down his level for accepting characters like this.

VTV Ganesh starts this movie saying this film is about hi
s life. By the end of the movie (for those who can withstand the pain) the audience should feel pity for Ganesh for leading such a horrible life. If you're reading this review with a plan to watch this movie, don't even dream of that. I have seen many horror films, but this is a horrible one. Sorry for being so harsh, but that is the fact.

Veeram Movie Review

2014 Pongal is celebrated in the Kollywood film industry because of the 'clash of the titans' Vijay vs Ajith. This time both are working with relatively new directors (just 2nd film for both the directors).Veeram director Siva did make a mark with his first film Siruthai which was a commercial movie. Veeram trailer and Ajith getup suggest his second movie follows the same trend. Let's see whether Ajith has chosen the right script for a back to back hit after Aarambam.

The movie starts by introducing the 5 brothers were Ajith is the eldest of the lot. Santhanam gets introduced as the family lawyer and the minute he is introduced the party starts and the movie picks up some pace. But the actual mass scene in the first half is when Ajith meets head to head his counterpart in the village and this scene tried to depict Antony vs Badsha scene. Ajith movies never have too many punch dialogs, but this one for a change has and the dialogs actually makes good sense with the context of the scene. Kudos to dialog writer Bharathan.

Next is the introduction of the Heroine Tamannaah after which starts the romance scenes as expected. Until the interval action sequence the movie looks more like a romantic comedy, but the Interval science is where the movie's title makes right sense. This power packed fight scene in the train is where Ajith has performed his best and will receive accolades for the same.

The second half starts with more sentimental scenes, but the best part of the director is that he never goes beyond the limit. The moment audience feels impatient, Thambi Ramaiya gets introduced to add some fun part. Nasser as usual does the role of a good father of the heroine. And now a new set of villains is getting introduced and the hero should tackle these guys and also prove his love for a happy climax. Here on its a pure commercial movie formula, but still best screenplay and direction saves the show.

Music by DSP is the right choice for this commercial entertainer. The theme and intro song are the best and BGM serves the purpose. Cinematographer Vetri and Editor Kasi Viswanathan have done a good job. Overall its the Director Siva and the dialog writer who holds the main responsibility for delivering this commercial extranganza.

So in this titanic clash, Veeram delivers the punch required to be the clean family entertainer. Comedy, romance and actions mixed in the right proportion will just glue the audience to the screen. Santhamam, Tamannaah and all other casting have done their role neatly. Verdict : Ultimate star has delivered an Ultimate movie of the year . Must watch
